One Sleeve Dress

A one sleeve dress is a beautiful and unique dress that will look fashionable on any women.  Designed for the edgy and bold look, you will not have to worry about showing up at the party with someone else wearing a one sleeve dress.

In my quest to find the ultimate in dinner and casual dress wear, nothing turns heads like a one sleeve dress.  Below are some of the one sleeve dresses that I reviewed and eventually purchased.

As for designers and brands Shoshanna, Nicole miller, Asos and David Meister all make some wonderful one sleeve dresses that no doubt will look good on you.  A David Meister one shoulder is always a good and affordable choice.

The first one sleeve dress I found was from Ralph Lauren and purchased from Neiman Marcus.  I went through their online store and was very pleased with their catalog.  I purchased the dress for roughly $2,645 with shipping. I could have sworn one of the girls form Jersey Shore was wearing this dress! Nevertheless here are some of the features of the dress:

  • Black
  • One shoulder, banded neckline.
  • Jeweled button detail on left shoulder.
  • Long sleeve.
  • Pencil skirt.
  • Straight hem.
  • Cashmere/nylon/elastane.
  • Made in Italy of Italian and imported material.

The dress is absolutely fantastic and I love wearing it around town.  It’s long, black and sleek that goes perfect with some black pumps.  I would recommend this one sleeve dress to anyone that is wanting to make a statement.

A friend of mine after seeing my one sleeve decided to buy her one. She went through the online catalog over at National Jean Company.  Now, at different ends of the spectrum on cost as this dress was around $60 with shipping. A great buy if you ask me and the dress is stunning. It was a Classique one sleeve mini dress and came in a multitude of colors.  Just about every color you could think of was available such as purple, black, periwinkle, lilac and snap dragon.  This one sleeve has a scoop neckline that really gives it some flair.  This one sleeve dress was shorter than the one I bought, but it looks killer with some denim jeans. At first she was looking at kimono sleeve dresses or a one shoulder bow dress, but the Classique was a good choice for her. She loves wearing this one at the mall or just in a casual setting.

These are two great one sleeves that span the spectrum on price and functionality, so when shopping for one, stay practical. The one sleeve dress can and will make a statement…no doubt.  Where to shop is totally up to you as mentioned above I noted some retailers that carry these wonderful creations.  My first choice is online as it’s more convenient and you can find some deals on one sleeve dresses. Keep in mind that these dresses are very unique and availability might be a problem, but online you can find just about anything.

OK, so this is not a one sleeve dress but thought I would to venture this blog out a bit.  I was out and about this past weekend looking for a top for a upcoming Vegas trip.  Went to all the main department stores that I thought would carry something that looked young and fun.  After about six hours of shopping…I could not find anything–although I did find some really cool one sleeve dresses that I will post about later.  I didn’t buy any of them but Nordstrom’s was having a rocking deal this past weekend.  In the end I went home empty handed and decided to jump online to see if I could find anything.

For those of you that have read the blog might know what I like.  I love ASOS clothing so decided to jump on there website and look around.  Guess what…the first top I clicked on was perfect!  It was a ASOS cut out one shoulder top that will do the job while out clubbing.

Here it is:

It came in two colors Black and Mink. This one shoulder top by ASOS with shipping around was around $53.  A great deal for such a sheik looking one sleeve top. Very trendy and yet still reserved for the older crows (me)…lol.   I have some skirts and pumps that will look fantastic with this top.  Doesn’t it scream Vegas!  In any event this just goes to that shopping online has it’s rewards and that although shopping at the mall was a blast, you can still rely on the wonderful world of internet shopping to get what you want.

Next post I will review the one sleeve dress that I was eyeing in Nordstom’s.  Who knows, by then it might just be in my wardrobe;)

Until next time!
